EEF Manufacturing Champion – January – Accuturn

Accuturn have become members of national Engineering Association, EEF.

Name: Logo.png Views: 86 Size: 13.6 KBNorfolk based CNC machining specialist Stokes & Rowe celebrated their 10th year in business in summer 2018 and as part of their long-term investment and growth plans have rebranded to become Accuturn, CNC turning and milling specialists.

The company is celebrating 10 years in business and has been through a business planning process outlining future growth plans. 2018 has seen Directors, Nicola and Robert Stokes, invest in new CNC Milling capability, gain ISO9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, hire their first Mechanical Engineering apprentice and rebrand the business.

Accuturn has established itself as a turn/mill specialist, offering one hit complex and non-complex components to industry and has now expanded it’s offering to include CNC milling. This has opened up capacity for existing clients, as well as new.

The new Haas Super Mini Mill has a machine capacity of table 914mm, x 305mm, trav 406 x 305 x 254mm. The Super Mini Mill is enhanced with a faster tool changer, faster spindle and higher rapids for improved production and part finish. This new machine compliments Accuturn’s existing range of brand new, multi axis, turn mill machines.

Accuturn manufacture a range of safety critical devices for a range of sectors that require precision machining and a very high-quality finish. They have developed their machining to remove the need for additional post machining polishing for specific projects.

Nicola continued “Achieving the ISO 9001:2015 Quality and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental standards this year has been recognition of the quality procedures and workmanship that we put into all our contracts and will support the business as we grow.”

Joshua Mallett, 16, originally came on work experience from Reepham High School for two weeks, he stayed in touch with the business and following finishing school this summer has now joined as their first engineering apprentice.
